Patrol officers stopped 37-year-old Cristian Maban at 5:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 3 on Post Road after he was spotted swerving over pavement markers and into a curb. During the subsequent stop, it reported that there was a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Maban’s breath, and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot.”
Maban proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and a breathalyzer revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent, double the legal limit. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Following arraignment, Maban was released on his own recognizance and his car was secured in the Scarsdale High School parking lot. He is due back in Scarsdale Village Court later this month to answer the charge.
